Jennifer is a registrar in the Australian College of Physiotherapists specialisation program. This rigorous 2 year mentoring program develops an expert standard of physiotherapy skill, in addition to teaching, research and mentoring across the physiotherapy profession.
Of the 30,000 plus physiotherapists in Australia, there are just under 100 musculoskeletal specialist physiotherapists. Jennifer is training to be part of this group.
This means that she understands a patients’ journey from the very initial assessment and management of their condition, through to the return to full participation in life activities and sports.
Jennifer often consultants as a second opinion for complex cases.
In 2014, Jennifer was selected as team physiotherapist for the Australian Junior Surf Team for the World Championships (Ecuador). She prepared and primed the athletes for the event.
She has also delivered training and presentations on specifics of surfing performance, surfing injuries, biomechanics of paddling, and pilates training for surfers. If you have a body related surfing concern, Jen has the skillset, knowledge and experience to help you.
Her goal is to find the source and all contributing factors to your presentation – not just the symptoms. She is motivated to help you achieve your desired outcome, so you can catch more waves.
