Paul is a renowned physiotherapist with a passion for enhancing athletic performance and promoting optimal health in surfers.
As the lead physiotherapist for Surfing Australia, Paul has played a pivotal role in supporting elite surfers on their journey to success.
His expertise was showcased at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, where he provided essential care and guidance to athletes, and he is eagerly anticipating his involvement in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
With a wealth of experience, Paul has contributed his skills to over 30 WSL international surfing events, representing both Surfing Australia and RedBull.
Within Surf.Physio Paul has the role of overseeing professional development and passing on his experience and knowledge specific to physiotherapy for elite and recreational surfers to the whole Surf.Physio team physio mentorship and regular in-services.
Paul has been fortunate enough to travel to some of the world's premier surf locations through his role as lead physiotherapist for Surfing Australia.
From Hawaii's North Shore and Honolua Bay, to the black sand beaches of Chiba and Miazaki Japan.
He's sat in the channel and felt the power of Tahiti's Teahupo'o, and surfed the beach breaks of Hossegor France and Penish in Portugal.
However, Paul's favourite surf destination to date has been the long walls of South Africa's Jeffreys Bay.
